Deleting a Madaf account

You can delete your account at any time. Deletion is final, and the library can't be restored afterwards.

In the app (immediately)

Open Madaf and go to the Profile tab.
Tap Your data.
Tap Delete account and confirm.

An open loan has to be closed first ("Book returned"). You can export your library before deleting, on the same screen.

Without the app

Email [email protected] from your account's email address, with the subject "Delete my account". We delete the account within 7 days and confirm by email. If the email doesn't come from the account's address, we'll ask you to confirm the account is yours first.

What is deleted

Your account, nickname, area and settings.
Your library, private notes, window and wishlist.
Browsing marks, swaps, chat messages, ratings, blocks and notifications.
Devices that received notifications.

What stays

Book details you added to the shared catalogue (title, author, barcode), with no link to you. The terms of use say so too.
Reports about behaviour, including the attached copy of messages, are kept for up to 12 months from the report, without your name, for safety.
A book's journey: town names and the date it moved, with nothing that identifies you.
